General Information

The Falling Plate match is one of the most recognizable stages in Action Match competitions.

Competitors engage six 8″ diameter steel plate targets at distances of 10, 15, 20, and 25 meters, within 6, 7, 8 and 9 seconds respectively.

All shooting starts from the standing position with wrists above respective shoulders, however, there is an option to drop to the prone position after the start buzzer at 20m and 25m distances.

Each distance is shot twice with a total of 48 rounds fired per match, and a maximum score of 48 points.

This match is known for its technical difficulty and high stakes: each miss is worth 1 point, and multiple misses can significantly impact a competitor's ranking. Its high visual appeal makes Falling Plates a favorite among spectators.

Competitors must demonstrate safe handling throughout the event. Shooters unable to safely complete the match may be asked to withdraw.

Restrictions: Unlicensed members are not permitted to attend action-type matches.
