42 (RF) - Hunter Pistol - 4th Tues 7:00pm

General Information

Hunter Pistol competitions are shot in the 200m Pistol Range.

Details of four shooters will be called to the line, from a standing position they will fire one shot per target at 5 chickens and 5 pigs with around 30 seconds per shot (plenty of time) available if needed.  When completed, the targets will be reset and the detail will move to the right to engage 5 turkeys and 5 rams while a new detail engages the chickens and pigs.  All details will be cycled through and then the entire process will repeat one more time.

Scoresheets are provided with competitiors required to record the hits and misses from each of the eight banks of 5 targets.  A maximum score of 40 is possible.

100m Rimfire Metallic Sillhouette targets at half distances.

Chickens - 12m

Pigs - 25m

Turkeys - 37m

Rams - 50m

Ammunition Required

40 rounds of 22LR.

Night Shoot Requirements

There are no restrictions for rimfire pistols at night.

Maximum Attendance

The attendance limit for this competition is 32 competitors.

Unlicensed Members

Unlicensed SSAA Brisbane Pistol Section Members may attend this competition under the following conditions:

• They have been signed off as competent in the same firearm type (Rimfire) Competency must be displayed to the Shoot Captain when signing on.
• They attend the shoot with a licensed member who will act as their supervisor and provide the firearm to be used.
• The licensed members is permitted to bring a maximum of 1 unlicensed guest.
