44 (CF) - Practical Pistol - 4th Thur 1.00 pm

Unlicensed shooters may attend to spectate, but are NOT PERMITTED to participate.

General Information

This Practical Pistol competition is hosted in the 200m Pistol Range.

It offers a combination of traditional Steel Challengs and IPSC style courses of fire.

Ammunition Required

Centerfire 9mm - .38

It is recommended that you bring at least 100 rounds of ammunition.

Additional Equipment Required

This competition requires the use of multiple magazines (5)

The use of a hoster is a key requirement of this shoot. Holster accreditation is required for loaded firearms to be drawn from a holster.  Without use of a holster scores will not be counted for end of year trophies.

Holster Requirements.

• Only one belt may be worn and must pass through the belt loops at waist level. Females may move the loops to hip bone level.)
• The heel of the butt of the handgun shall not be allowed below the top of the belt. When the handgun is holstered the trigger must be covered. The muzzle angle of the holstered handgun must point downwards to within one metre of the shooter while standing relaxed.
• Shoulder Holsters are prohibited.
• Tie down holsters (visible or not visible) are prohibited.
• Cross draw Holsters are prohibited.
• The maximum inside dimension of the handgun and equipment may not extend more than 50mm from the applicants’ torso while standing relaxed. Where due to anatomical considerations, this becomes impractical, reasonable discretion should be exercised.

Maximum Attendance

The attendance limit for this competition as set by the shoot captains will be limited to 16 competitors.
