Although no movement is required during the course of fire, this shoot will push shooter's limits for speed and competent firearm handling.
Consequently, it is still being classed as an ACTION shoot.
Unlicensed shooters may attend to spectate, but are NOT PERMITTED to participate.
General Information
This shooting competition consists of three distinct stages testing speed, accuracy, and handling skills. Centerfire shooters are expected to use a holster, rimfire shooters always start from low ready.
The first stage involves firing multiple rounds at three targets from 15 meters. The second stage emphasizes single-handed shooting at 10 meters, requiring both strong and weak hand use. The final stage is a close-range rapid-fire sequence at 5 meters, where shooters engage multiple targets quickly. Each stage demands precise shooting under timed conditions.
Caution for New Shooters
ThePractical Shooting - Accelerator shoot is an extremely fast-paced and technically challenging event for experienced shooters. It requires rapid target engagement, drawing from a holster, reloading under pressure, and shooting with both strong and weak hands.
This shoot is NOT suitable for beginners.
If you are new to dynamic shooting, we strongly recommend attending Steel Challenge or other Practical Pistol competitions before attempting this one.
