General Information
Pig & Plate competitions are held on the 200m Pistol Range.
Competitors have three visits to the line to use centerfire handguns loaded with a maximum of 6 rounds, with two reloads permitted, so a maximum of 18 rounds per visit. They have 60 seconds to engage 16 steel targets, set in three rows at distances of 15, 25, and 37.5 meters.
The closest row of 5 must be shot first with only one round allowed per target, all targets must fall to be worth 10 points each. Next is one shot at a bonus plate at 25m which is worth 30 points, after that, the 5 ram/turkey targets at 25m and 5 pig targets at 37.5m can be shot in any order.
The competition includes spotters behind each competitor for safety and to ensure that the correct shooting sequence and number of shots/reloads is followed. Separate scores for trophies are kept for iron sights and optics.
Shooting starts at 7 PM and must conclude by 9 PM. Please try to arrive early to help with setup.
Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the shoot format and range commands before attending.
